Dove Project #ShowUs out of Publicis Sapient Aims to Celebrate a More Diverse and Inclusive Portrayal of Beauty
Dove has partnered with Getty Images and Girlgaze for a global campaign to create the largest collection of images by and of women, non-binary and female-identifying people. We are honored to be a part of project #ShowUs aiming to celebrate a more diverse and inclusive portrayal of beauty with director, Erin Heidenreich.
The idea was inspired by research indicating that women’s self-esteem has dropped over the last decade due to unrealistic portrayals in the media. 70% of women still don’t feel represented in media & advertising.
Project #ShowUs worked with 116 Girlgaze photographers and individuals from across 39 countries to shatter stereotypes and highlight a more culturally representative vision of female beauty, confidence, and success.
