Niall O’Brien “A Dawning” Olafur Arnalds and Talos

Niall O’Brien directed the music video for “A Dawning,” a visual and sonic requiem to his friend Eoin French, aka Talos, who died last year after a short battle with cancer. This spot marked the third video that Niall helmed for Talos. Ólafur Arnalds, a long-time creative collaborator of Eoin, completed the project they were working on at the time of Eoin’s death. Shot over 10 days between Iceland and Ireland, the film is a poignant and artfully rendered homage to an artist’s legacy and the joy found in life’s small moments.
