A LoveChild and Blok collaboration, this project sets out to reframe our understanding of three megalopolises by exploring the intersection between our idealized images of these cities and their underlying personas, and how one makes possible the other. In the first project about Los Angeles, photographer Renato D’Agostin unites with author and urban thought-leader Norman Klein under the Creative Direction of Anthony Frattolillo and Vanessa Eckstein. The dialogue between D’Agostin’s instinctual images and Klein’s thought-provoking essay examines our preconceived ideas of what makes the city true to itself. The project also birthed “Origins,” a podcast series that considers how some of LA’s most significant, but overlooked, landmarks have influenced our perceptions of the city’s identity.
Directed by Academy Award & Emmy winning directors, TJ Martin and Dan Lindsay, this short film leads the viewer on an honest and engaging journey into one couple’s past. The film screened at numerous film festivals, was featured on “The Atlantic,” selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick, and nominated for a Webby Award.

A Los Angeles-based advertising agency then seeks him out for a marketing campaign, which will make him the face of DRIB.

To increase awareness of climate change and its link to extreme storms, a petition was sent to the World Meteorological Organization to change their current naming system of storms from randomly selected names, such as Katrina and Sandy, to the names of actual United States’ policymakers who deny climate change. Directed by Ted Paul with a script out of Barton F. Graf 9000, the film won 6 Cannes Lions, 2 D&AD Pencils, and numerous other awards.
